I’ve been home the Blogger Bash for a week now, and am still a bit in recovery mode because of all the fun! Between making fabulous new friends, connecting with so many great brands that want to work with bloggers, and the neatest parties I’ve ever attended at a conference, attending Blogger Bash 2015 was The Best Decision for my Blog Ever!
How would you like to have parties thrown for you and brands eager for your attention? What about yummy food, great speakers and so much SWAG they have to mail you some of it? We got all that and more at this blogger conference, and it was so worth the trip! Here’s a breakdown:
Care Bears Share Your Care Brunch
Anyone else grow up with snuggly Care Bears? They were definitely a huge thing when I was young, and now my kiddos love them as well! They’re coming out with new shows, and have a set of new interactive Care Bears coming to market. We all stood and took the Share Your Care pledge – and you should, too! In case you’re wondering – yes, the giant Cheer Bear was TOTALLY snuggly and soft!
This is like the biggest party for bloggers ever – I was shocked that we got 5 hours to walk around mingling with brands and learning about awesome upcoming products. That should be plenty of time, right? WRONG! I was there from open until brands were taking things down and STILL didn’t make it to everyone – there were tons!
I can’t BELIEVE I didn’t get a photo of the Elemental female superheroes! I love that they’re more ‘real’ looking (no ridiculous curves), their powers are actually from true elements, and they’re designed to truly empower girls (or boys!) to find their inner power. I got to pick up two cards – I picked ENERGY for my daughter, and PERSISTENCE for me. Fitting! Also get ready for a Girl Scout Cookie Oven hitting shelves soon, along with a chocolate writing pen and plenty of fun My Little Pony products.
I cant’ wait to play some of these games with my family! The Panda Head one was a lot of fun – plenty of us bloggers really got into it!
My boys would’ve gone completely BONKERS when they saw the Spiderman jeep! It even sprays out water (webbing) and can seat TWO. Yup, I’d never get them out of it! The big Bumblee transformer is now on our Christmas list to get for our kids since they’re really into Transformers. And I may be looking to get some Avenger poppers for hubby’s desk!
Not the best picture, but these race cars actually ‘fight’! You use your controllers to direct them at each other and push to shoot ‘lasers’ at each other – think you could defeat your opponent? If you’ve never seen these water balloon sets, you haven’t had a true summer! Screw the end to a hose, and it fills up all the water balloons at once – when they get the perfect fill, they fall off and automatically TIE THEMSELVES! Yes, it’s a life saver! I’m not sure who would like the Lazer Pegs building sets more – hubby or the kids! Either way, they’d have a very colorful blast. I may have entertained the idea of sneaking Chewbacca away from the Build-a-Bear booth. Seriously, he’s adorable! Can’t wait to see what other Star Wars items Build-a-Bear will be adding to their collection!
As a huge Superhero family, I sometimes get frustrated at the lack of girl costumes and accessories – but Imagine by Rubies has us covered with plenty of options for boys AND girls in all sorts of styles and designs! One of my kids’ favorite souvenirs were the fun masks I brought home for them!
These Flipsies are super fun, and something my girl has added to her wish list! Lots of personalities to mix and match, and plenty of playsets to go with any child’s interests.
Chocolate pens – how much fun could I have with these? Seriously, I could go crazy! Plus Minion stuff – how can you resist those sweet and hilarious Minion faces?
I spent quite awhile at the Lego booth, checking out the variety of playsets. We have totes full of Legos, most from hubby’s childhood, but are always looking to add to our collection. The new Star Wars sets they’re coming out with are awesome – check out the scene from the end of Star Wars 6, complete with the Emperor and his laser hands! My boys are really into Ninjago lately, so those sets are always on our minds, plus Minecraft, of course!
We have a LOT of Ninja Turtle stuff – but I don’t think I’ve EVER seen as much as at the Sweet Suite party! Action figures, cars, playsets, posters, stuffed dolls, weapons – and see that tall Michelangelo in the top right? His shell comes off so you can use him as a toy chest! Yup – definitely wanting that for my kiddos and their Ninja Turtles playroom!
There were so many more things I saw, and some I didn’t, but sadly couldn’t get EVERYTHING in photos 🙂 Stay tuned for more info over the coming months, though!
Disney Infinity Breakfast
I love Disney, and our family’s game of choice lately is Disney Infinity – so of course I was thrilled to learn more about their 3.0 version coming out this holiday season, especially since it’s Star Wars! Woot woot! They told us about the new Power Discs – now you can buy a pack of 4 and see what they are, instead of the ‘mystery’. They’re also including some Toy Box Expansion Games – one where the villains have taken over and you must save the town, the other is a racing game with all the difference vehicles! Yoda riding in Cinderella’s carriage? Why not?!
Also coming out are figures from Inside Out, Tron, Star Wars Rebels, and more for the others such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Ultron and so many more! I couldn’t believe how cute the Yoda figure was – and when I got to play a bit of the game, he totally kicked butt with his lightsaber!
All-Day Expo & Rite-Aid Recharge Lounge
After the breakfast we got to spend the day at the facilities meeting other brands and companies, listening to fabulous speakers such as Anne Geddes, and relaxing at a recharge lounge complete with free massages! Yup, I definitely took advantage of that when I needed a little break 🙂
There were fun people to talk with such as April from HomeAdviser, and great products like Kolibree toothbrush – they make it connect to your phone or tablet and they kids can PLAY A GAME to help them brush their teeth the right way! Yup, could definitely use that for my kiddos!
We had a delish lunch while seeing a sneak peak of the upcoming Peanuts Movie – and I’m even more excited than before to go see it! We even got to hear from some of the voices of the characters – Pig Pen, Linus, Shroeder, and ‘the little red-haired girl’. I bet you can tell which one she is! Of course Snoopy made an appearance, and I had to get in a little hug!
Canadian Lentils Carnival
I’ve never been to a real carnival – but this sure made me want to! They went all out for our closing party – a lady hanging from a chandelier pouring Champaigne, boardwalk-type games, juggling, dancing, the ‘muscle man’, stilt-walkers, uni-cyclist, contortionist and much more! All to enjoy while we ate yummy foods made with Canadian Lentils. Delish! And they couldn’t forget the photo booth where @merlotmommy and I got our ‘cheese’ on!
Although I met so many AMAZING and FUN people at Blogger Bash, and really loved getting to ‘speak blog’ so much, this bunch right here really made it an unforgettable event! I can’t wait to hang with these gals again!
Melissa from @JonahBonah and I landed at the same time, so together we braved the bus and subway system as we adventured to our hotel! We got to hang out off and on during the conference (she was attending multiple because she’s superwoman or something!) and she was even so sweet to text me making sure I had a safe flight home. Love this lady!
You know those people who you just CAN’T be sad around, and even if they aren’t trying you feel like a million bucks just being around them because they make you feel so awesome? That’s Kristi Trimmer (.com) and oh my gosh she was a HOOT and just such a fun gal to chill with!
Sara, also my roomie, from Family Fun PA and I took an afternoon to tour a bit of New York City, and I loved getting to chat with her then, and several other times that weekend – such as when we tried to find the subway at the end of the night! She’s nice and fun, very social and totally honest. And I’ll never forget the ‘elevator memory’ 😉
I already mentioned Jana, also my roomie, from @merlotmommy – I knew we’d get along amazingly when I saw one of her first boards on Pinterest was Star Wars! I get to our hotel room and she has an R2-D2 suitcase as well as a Captain America hoodie! Yup, she’s pretty much the bomb!!!
I could go on and on, but this post is obviously plenty long 😀 I’ll be sharing more stuff in the coming months, so stay tuned!
