I received a Juniper Mattress to facilitate this review. As always, my opinions are 100% mine alone & I will only share products/services I truly love.
Y’all, we’re getting our 3 new kiddos soon – like before Christmas most likely! Woot woot – do the happiest of all happy dances! While it’s exciting, though, it’s a LOT of work getting our home ready to go from a family of 6 to a family of 9. One big change is – MORE BEDS! When looking for mattresses, I was thrilled to try out one from Brentwood Home, since they offer a healthier mattress choice!

So what do I mean by ‘healthier’ mattress, you ask? Think of this – we spend a LOT of hours each night laying on our mattresses. We need them to not only be comfortable and supportive for our muscles, joints and all-around quality of sleep – but what about the things they’re made of? Brentwood Home offers products – like mattresses, quilts and pillows – made of quality materials like Global Organic Textile Standard Certified cotton and CertiPUR-US certified foams.
This particular mattress we got for our kids – the Juniper Mattress, twin-sized – also has a gel memory foam layer, so it sleeps cooler than regular memory foam and provides a ‘hugging sensation’ that’s great for growing bodies – like our little Hulk here, who couldn’t wait to test it out!
I really liked that they took into consideration the environment with shipping, too, as it came compressed and rolled up into a smaller box. This not only saved on shipping sizes, but also made set-up much easier. As soon as we opened the wrap, it puffed right back up to normal height – about 6 inches for the Juniper twin-sized.
Another feature I LOVED was that it has two handles one each side, making carrying it around super simple – came in handy for carrying it up the stairs to little Hulk’s bed!
I was a bit worried about it supporting weight, since it feels so breathable and nice – but it does great for all of our kiddos! Even our 10-year-old tried it out and said it felt great.
Back to it being a better mattress choice for your kids – this mattress has no chemical flame retardants, heavy metals, or phthalates, along with being latex-free and 100% hypoallergenic. Since some of my littles have allergies, and I’m a fan of avoiding chemicals if they’re unnecessary, this was exactly what we were hoping for.
Now that we’ve got our beds and mattresses figured out, we’re all ready to bring our new kiddos home so we can be a full family. Eeeek – so excited!!!
