With the new year I’m trying to make healthier choices. Stairs instead of elevator. Park further from the store to add more walking. The biggest one for me this month is drinking less soda! When I want a drink, I want flavor, so water just doesn’t do it for me. This delicious Simple Homemade Strawberry Lemonade is a perfect substitute, and is one of my current favs!

How many of you are also trying to make more healthy drinking choices? I sure don’t want to DRINK my calories every day! I know some people think you should completely switch to water. If I tried to do that, I can guarantee I’d end up 1. dehydrated from lack of drinking anything or 2. drinking even more soda because I really need something good. Switch to all water you say? I can’t, I won’t, too bad. So my goal is to find easy ways to trade out the calories without compromising great taste. Lemonades are an AMAZING way to do this, especially when you just use Truvia for a sweetener!

I also love adding in some Bigelow Green Tea in Lemon flavor instead of having to deal with fresh squeezed lemon juice…and it works perfectly! You can grab that and the Truvia just down the same baking aisle at Target!

Obviously grab the Bigelow near the rest of the tea….

And the Truvia just a few steps away….

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the Truvia, 1 cup water over medium heat until the Truvia is dissolved, stirring occasionally. While heating this, you can steep the tea bag. Pour in a large pitcher when done. Simple Homemade Strawberry Lemonade / by Busy Mom's Helper #SweetWarmUp #Ad
