June 25, 2020 by Angela Paris Leave a Comment

Weight loss is always a challenge. It’s not just about the diet – you need to live a healthier life overall if you want to slim down. Plus, it takes a lot of time, so there are many factors why people opt against it. We’re not judging – we hate diets and exercise too. However, with the obesity epidemic taking over the world and its devastating effects on our health, weight loss is sometimes required.

The good news is that we have a short list of low-calorie foods that taste delicious and can be prepared in a variety of ways. You can eat these foods endlessly without ever gaining weight. Throw in some exercise too and you’ll slim down sooner than you can imagine.

Peppers

Medium-sized peppers have only 30 calories, so you can eat as many as you want of them for lunch. You can also include peppers in a variety of tasty recipes. They are full of vitamins and minerals which makes them an ideal weight loss food.

Broccoli

Yes, yes, we know that you hate broccoli. However, you’ll learn to love the veggie if you need to lose weight. A cup of broccoli florets has only 31 calories so you can eat a bunch every day without gaining weight.

Cherry Tomatoes

Not only do they taste sweet, cherry tomatoes also have 27 calories per cup. You can eat them fresh and add them to various recipes. The versatility is one of their strongest points.

Spinach

Spinach is loaded with iron and other minerals, not to mention the fact that a cup has only 7 calories. It’s one of those almost-0-calories foods that you can eat every day. Plus, there’s a bunch of spinach recipes you can whip up in minutes.

Other notable foods you can eat to lose weight are:

  • Kale (33 calories per cup)
  • Celery (16 calories per cup)
  • Cauliflower (27 calories per cup)
  • Purple cabbage (22 calories per cup)

Add these foods to your diet and hit the gym or go for a jog regularly to slim down and enjoy the new you.
