Guys, life is insane right now! There’s all the back-to-school with TWO new kindergartners and extremely early mornings, upcoming trips for our family/blog, and also trying to sell our house – which means constant cleaning up with 4 kids and 2 dogs. Honestly, I could cry most days! Luckily we can use it as a good excuse to go out for dinner sometimes, and let the kiddos enjoy The New Kid Favorite at Smashburger!
Hubby and I have always LOVED Smashburger – whether it’s for a date night, or hubby running to grab something delicious for lunch at work one day! We’ve never taken the kids, though, because they can be really picky when it comes to kid’s meals. With their NEW offerings, though, we knew it’d be a huge hit!
Yup, Smashburger updated their kid options with better-for-you Grilled Chicken Strips, and also a yummy side of Musselman’s Unsweetened Squeezable Apple Sauce. I have to say, the chicken strips were totally yummy (yes, I took a bite…or two) but the kids’ absolutely FAVORITE thing was the applesauce.
I felt better giving the kids the Grilled Chicken Strips because they’re 100% premium all-white meat, with no artificial flavors or fillers. Of course they had to grab some BBQ and ranch dipping sauces, plus some ketchup for the side. And since the Musselman’s Unsweetened Squeezables have no added sugar or sodium, I had no issue letting my kids choose whatever drink they wanted – Organic HONEST Kids® Juice, Horizon Milk®, or a fountain drink.
They can grab their entrée, side and drink for a total of $5.49 at Smashburger restaurants nationwide! You can find what store is nearest you here and use their handy Locations tab. I knew this new meal was a hit with my kiddos not only from the big smiles, but also because they completely downed it without us having to say ‘please eat more than that’. Win-win for this family outing – and such a tasty way to get a break from the chaos at home!
