Best Stroller For Tall Parents (Mom’s Recommendation)
Something which is often not taken into consideration when making products for parents with younger kids is the body proportions of the parents.
While there are different products for all sizes and ages of babies and toddlers, there are often few adjustments made for the parents who might be trying to use these products.
If you are pushing a stroller around which is simply not tall enough for you, you will likely have to deal with back aches, and you could even start to develop a hunch.
This can take an obvious toll on your body, and as a tall parent, we know how difficult this can be to deal with, and it is not something we wanted to deal with for the entire time our child would be using a stroller!
And, if you plan to have more children, think of just how much extra time you will be spending hunched over a badly designed stroller. While most strollers are not designed with taller parents in mind, this does not mean that none are.
In fact, we have gathered some of the best strollers which are designed with taller parents in mind, and put them all in this list so you can choose one which you think will suit you and your children best.
Our top three options are below, with the BOB Revolution Flex 2.0 Jogging Stroller being our personal favorite and the one I use for my child, as my husband is 6.3ft.

To ensure that you make the right decision on a stroller, we have curated this buyer’s guide to give you all the information you need about strollers for taller parents so you can consider every factor before making your mind up about a choice!
Types Of Strollers For Taller Parents
When it comes to what stroller is best suited for taller parents, there are actually completely different types of strollers which will suit different parents better than others, so we will go over these styles now!
As you can likely surmise from the name, these strollers are primarily intended for use by active parents, and you are able to use them while exercising as well.
They are usually going to be equipped with wheels suited for all terrain so you can go wherever you want with them. You can even find these strollers to be compatible with car seats designed for infants. You will want to be sure to have the car seat straps loosen correctly to keep your child safe.
It is worth pointing out that we do not recommend running with a baby until they are at least half a year old.
You can find these strollers with all the accessories you would usually need like canopies, storage, and proper suspension to ensure your baby gets a smooth ride.
They also tend to come with longer handles so you can hold them from higher up which is perfect for taller parents.
It is worth noting that these tend to be quite large so if you want a stroller for a tighter area, this is not going to be a perfect choice.
This style of stroller tends to be more lightweight and you can fold it up quite easily, this makes it a great compact choice as well.
They also come with straps for carrying which is perfect if you use a lot of public transport and want something you can carry around easily.
Compared to the previous choice this is a lot better for more narrow spaces.
While these are a great choice for how lightweight and compact they are, they do tend to lack in some other categories.
For example, they tend to have less than perfect canopies, and the seats are often less comfortable. And the storage options tend to vary but are usually less than average.
You can consider this the stroller which will have all the extra features which you will need. They will have a car seat for infants which is perfect and has multiple positioning options to choose from.
On top of this, they will tend to have some of the best cushioning for seating as well. These tend to have a lot of accessories as well to make them a super convenient option.
These are usually designed to be able to grow alongside your baby, so you will not need to invest in multiple strollers like some parents inevitably need to do.
These also tend to have good customization options for taller parents, since they can be customized, they are not just good for taller parents, but parents of all heights.
The main negative of these strollers is that they will likely be one of the more bulky and heavy options.
These are going to be the optimum option for you if you have twin infants, or children which are quite close in age.
These are often the best option to accommodate both children at the same time, and there are plenty of options to find the ones which suit you best.
You should be able to find a double version of all the previous types we have discussed, and because of this their quality varies deeply.
We recommend looking for one which will grow and adapt with your children, since as much adaptability should be a priority with the more children in the picture.
Also, keep in mind that you may end up having to pay a premium for these strollers.
Features To Keep In Mind
As well as the types of strollers which are available, there are also some key features which you should keep in mind so you can make the best decision possible when choosing a stroller.
When it comes to taller parents, this is the factor which will affect comfort the most, so ensure that you are getting a stroller with plenty of options, or is designed to be high enough for you.
Some strollers are unchangeable, but others have plenty of options for adjustment, this is usually a priority for taller parents, especially if someone who uses the stroller is not tall and you need to switch configurations.
This will also affect your comfort as the higher the seat is, the less often you will need to be bending over to pick up your child. This also tends to affect the overall height of the handle alongside the seat.
If you are planning to take this stroller everywhere you go, you will want to make it so it will fold as easily as possible. This should be kept in mind especially if you use a lot of public transport, or will not always have all your hands free.
Parent Tray And Storage Pockets
Storage is always more important than you think it will be, and generally speaking, the more choices the better!
Some strollers sometimes feel like they really do not want to have you steering them and this can be a massive hassle on occasion.
You will want to look out for strollers which will be able to swivel easily on any terrain. We also find it easier to steer strollers when they have just one handlebar instead of two.
Although this article is focused on making the stroller more comfortable for the person controlling it, you will want to still prioritize the comfort of your child as well. Check out our article on how to make your child’s car seat more comfortable for ideas.
Try to find a stroller which has sufficient comfort and support as well.
Infant Car Seat Compatible
Some strollers are designed to be compatible with car seats for infants which can be very useful for using all the way from birth, so if this is a feature you want make sure to look out for it.
You will want your baby to get the shade they need from the sun, so try to find a stroller which has a canopy which is well reviewed and does not let any sunlight through.
