Chocolate Banana Trail Mix

We do snack time after we get Wonder Woman from the bus every day, but it’s hard to really vary it up while staying healthy. We do fruits with yogurt or veggies and dip a lot, but I like giving them an extra ‘sweet treat’ occasionally. This trail mix is perfect, combining some sweet chocolate and popcorn (always a kid favorite) with healthy dried fruits. It could also be mixed up with a variety of other things for a whole new combo! This recipe for Chocolate Banana Trail Mix is super popular with the kiddos – and really fast to make!

Choco-Nana Trial Mix / Busy Mom's Helper

Ingredients
11 cups Popcorn, popped
2 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
2 cups Dried banana chips
1 cup Dried raisins or cranberries (I use craisins)
1 cup Chocolate chips
1 cup Nuts of choice (pecans, walnuts, etc.)
Nonstick cooking spray

Directions
Pour the popped popcorn into a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.

Coat lightly with the cooking spray, tossing a few times and respraying.

In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Pour over popcorn and toss to coat.

Add the bananas, raisins/cranberries, chocolate chips and nuts. Stir to mix.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
